a balloon,coming out of a keen city
in the sky--filled with pretty people?
(and if you and i should
get into it,if they
should take me and take you into their balloon,
why then
we'd go up higher with all the pretty people
than houses and steeples and clouds:

ReplyDeleteI have just recently come across E.E. Cummings and I absolutely adore his work. I think I might have to buy a book of his poetry. I just finished reading another lovely piece of his called "Somewhere I Have Never Travelled, Gladly Beyond". It is just magical, have you read it?
